25 beds on 4 Acres

An 1844 house and horse farm sit amidst rolling fields with distant views. From the house, with a native fieldstone terrace, an informal kitchen garden with herbs, potted flowers and tropical plants flows naturally with the land to the barns and roadside. Innovative design approach plays with scale and lines of sight to maximize the layered views from the house. Interesting plant collections include bulbs, perennials, flowering shrubs, evergreens, grasses, herbs, fruits and vegetables. The gardens, incorporating moss and lichen-covered rocks, are planned for no watering, reduced maintenance, four-season interest, food and cover for birds.
